Everyone can make a difference in so many ways and we are happy to have been a part of something that began small and continues to grow by people paying the kindness forward every day. – Nichole Luis, HR Manager, HC Matcon Inc.
On Friday, NOVEMBER 6, the message is simple.
GO BE KIND. Do something nice for someone and ask nothing in return. You may even inspire that person to do something nice for someone else. Part of the beauty of the initiative is that it doesn’t have to cost a cent. Holding a door open, giving words of thanks and encouragement, or telling someone they’ve done a good job.

Since 2009, Random Act of Kindness Day® has brought Cambridge and North Dumfries together by engaging citizens in small acts of kindness and generosity, with the understanding that every individual has the opportunity to help build the foundation of our community.
Last year, HC Matcon Inc. mobilized their staff into several Kindness teams who volunteered in different ways at various local organizations here in Cambridge. According to Nichole Luis, HR Manager at HC Matcon Inc, “Everyone can make a difference in so many ways and we are happy to have been a part of something that began small and continues to grow by people paying the kindness forward every day.” Read more about HC Matcon’s 2014 Kindness story here.
2015 Kindness Partners
RAK Day cards (or Kindness cards) are annually distributed by our local Kindness partners as “touch points” on RAK Day. What are Kindness cards?
Everytime someone does a kind act, the card is handed out to inspire the person who received kindness to “pay it forward”.
This year, Kindness cards are available at the following locations beginning October 26th:
- Idea Exchange libraries (all branches)
- City Hall, and
- North Dumfries Community Complex
