Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 David Borges Outstanding Community Involvement Award.

Last year, the Community Foundation was proud to present the David Borges Award to Josslin Insurance. Nominated by Strong Start Charitable Organization, Josslin Insurance is considered a major partner in providing early literacy programs here in Cambridge and North Dumfries. Read more.

The David Borges Outstanding Community Involvement Award is a terrific way to profile your business and honour your commitment to philanthropy and involvement in our community.

About the Award

David Borges, former Board Chair

Initiated in 2012, the Community Foundation’s David Borges Outstanding Community Involvement award is named in honour of David Borges, former Board Chair of the Community Foundation, who passed away suddenly in April 2011. The award is provided annually to a business in Cambridge or North Dumfries that best represents the mission of the Community Foundation – to enhance the Cambridge and North Dumfries area by creating a culture of community involvement and philanthropy.
