While many of our local children and youth are already dreaming about summer, most parents are starting to feel the pressure building up as they prepare their pockets for summer camp registrations.
Thanks to our partnership with the Waterloo Region Record-Lyle S. Hallman Foundation Kids to Camp Fund, over $48,000 will be distributed to 27 Summer Camps this year, giving over 800 local children and youth the chance to attend their ideal summer camp despite financial difficulties.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for subsidizing camp this year for my two girls. Our family has gone through some real financial struggles over the past few years yet I would still find some spare cash for my girls to attend Silverheights camp because I knew they enjoyed it…Because of the Kids to Camp funding and SNA we could continue to pay our regular bills while my girls had some fun over the summer. The Kids to Camp Grants Program enables local camp organizers to offer camp fee subsidies for children and youth up to 17 years old coming from families that are feeling the struggle to make ends meet.
We are proud to partner with the following 2017 Summer Camps through the Kids to Camp Fund:
Families who wish to apply for subsidies for any of the above camps are encouraged to directly contact the camp organizers.
