It’s official and we couldn’t be more excited. Alan Doyle will be our guest speaker at Food For Thought 2016 in November.
Alan has one of our country’s most recognizable voices. As the lead singer of Great Big Sea, he’s made his way into the homes and hearts of Canadians across this country, blending traditional folk music and pop to create something truly unique.
His recently released memoir, ‘Where I Belong’ details the time he spent growing up in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland—a place whose influence comes through in everything he does.
Onstage, in addition to sharing a few songs, his talk brings the same warmth, approachability, and unmistakable sense of humour that have long characterized his music, charming audiences while encouraging them to think about where they come from in a new light.
Thank you to our Food For Thought Committee for helping to bring Alan Doyle to our community. Stay tuned as planning continues for a Friday evening event that is sure to delight!
