Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Foundation (CNDCF) is pleased to announce that our 2021 Community Grants program disbursed $83,099.00 to local initiatives this year. We were able to disburse our highest financial support to date, and that was made possible by our generous donors, through the Field of Interest Funds and the Smart & Caring Community Funds established within the Community Foundation.
Thanks to our Community Grants Committee and North Dumfries Committees in Cambridge & North Dumfries, we were able to fund 37 local projects, events and programs in 2021.
Despite the ongoing challenges and disruption that the COVID-19 pandemic brought upon all of us, local organizations were inventive and adaptive, and understood the necessity for their services and programs in these communities. All 37 grants disbursed embodied the meaning of community, and in times like these, the support amongst local organizations and initiatives is much needed and something to celebrate.
