RESPONDING TO COVID-19

Launched on Monday, March 16, 2020, the COVID-19 Community Response Fund will support the work of front-line organizations that are collectively striving to ensure our most vulnerable citizens are safe and healthy.

We know this pandemic disproportionately impacts certain populations and our goal is to raise funds for programs and services that will directly benefit these individuals.

“This is a difficult time for everyone and we know those who are already marginalized in our community will be disproportionately impacted. We want every citizen in Waterloo Region and the organizations doing crucial work on the ground to know that we’re here to support them.” – Joan Fisk, CEO, United Way Waterloo Region Communities.

By giving to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund, you can provide support for front-line organizations, particularly those that aren’t always visible in our community but continue to provide critical support for the most vulnerable members in Waterloo Region.

HOW WILL FUNDS BE DISBURSED?

The COVID-19 Community Response Fund is intended to address urgent and emerging community needs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly for vulnerable populations. Applications are open to any registered charity based in Waterloo Region for initiatives in Waterloo Region. Other social service providers may be considered, provided they meet remaining eligibility requirements. Please click on link below for more information about eligibility and application.
