Cambridge & North Dumfries Community Foundation (CNDCF) is pleased to announce that the 2019 Community Grants program disbursed $63,675.00 to local initiatives. These grants are made possible through Field of Interest funds and the Smart & Caring Community Funds established within the Community Foundation.
With the help of our Community Grants Committee and North Dumfries Committees in Cambridge & North Dumfries, we were able to fund sixty local projects, events and programs this year.
The sixty grants disbursed include grants to six organizations that facilitate support groups for youth, young parents, seniors and other vulnerable community members; Four neighbourhood associations that will provide High Five Training to their youth volunteers, and we are really pleased to share that 27 new initiatives will be launched.
We received a record number of applications this year and had the highest financial request to-date. We know that as our community continues to grow, so will the need for services. We continue to focus on asset growth, through generous donors, in order to meet those needs.
